42. SURVIVE

~ Violet ~ “For what it’s worth, I think you’ll go down in history as the only girl that’s ever made him rethink his methods,” Talia said as she sipped her tea. Violet let out a sigh and sipped her own drink. If only that’s enough… Today would be her last night in the estate and Damon had just left for work. Violet went to Talia’s and spilled the tea about last night, no pun intended, and Talia was telling her how she ran into Damon this morning.  Apparently, Talia asked Damon point blank if he’d ask Violet to stay and he said no. Flat out no. Talia said he seemed to be thinking about doing something else though, but she wasn’t sure what.  “Violet, what’s wrong?” Talia asked when she noticed the sadness in her friend’s eyes.  Violet put her tea down and bit her lip. Her eyes turned glassy and she hated how weak she was feeling.  I’m going to be free after today. I should be happy… Talia put her hand on Violet’s shoulder and squeezed it gently. Violet couldn’t help the tears falling fro
