84. EQUIVOCAL

~ Violet ~ “I love you more than anything and more than anyone. And it fúcking hurts that you don’t even believe that,” Later that night, Violet went to bed with Damon’s words ringing in her head. Damon was sleeping next to her, his arm was wrapped around her stomach. Violet turned to her side with her eyes wide open. Normally, it was Damon who was having trouble sleeping, but tonight it was her. “Isabella was the only girl I ever loved. Anyone else after her means nothing to me,” No matter how many times she shook the thought away, somehow those words always found her again. Violet stared at the window and watched the moon shining in the dark night sky. For some reason, the moon looked awfully sad and lonely tonight, and it didn’t help that her thoughts were running wild.  I wonder if this is the view that Damon sees when he couldn’t sleep. Violet’s mind wandered to thoughts about Damon and Isabella. He must really love her that he spent five years of his life to avenge her death. He
