Chapter Thirty-Eight : Prove

"Perhaps today's the day I get executed," Caspian said, sitting with me on the massive couch in the hallway. Caspian's words sent me into a state of bewilderment. I couldn't tell if he was joking or not. So, I just sat back as my face was still red in embarrassment. Perhaps I was a perverted freak all this time. How could I consummate anywhere like an animal in heat? I thought, slapping my cheek with my free hand a few times. It felt so unreal as I stared at Caspian as his fingers were still intertwined with mine. Caspian didn't leave my hand for once since we returned. We waited patiently as the omegas and betas swerved all over the place busily. It was strange since no one paid attention to us. No matter how many guts they would consume, ignoring Caspian in front of him would require them a few extra lives. "We have disobeyed the Alpha's command," Caspian said. He crossed his legs, carefully scrutinizing every tiny change about the house. "But grandpa isn't aware of it, i
