Abigail suddenly fixed her gaze on me, her expression serious. "You really don't need to stay here to take care of her."
She stepped closer, enunciating each word carefully. "I can hire two caregivers to take turns looking after Lana."
Hearing her words, I offered a faint smile. No matter how professional a caregiver might be, they could never care for Lana the way a family member would.
