My feeling of jealousy persisted and I didn't want to face the rest of the family with that feeling. So, I stayed in my room for two days till I could stay away from Millicent no longer. I just couldn't explain it, but I was beginning to like Millicent quite a lot and I didn't want her to get married to my brother. But it looked like they were engaged.
