Chapter 41

"No, I can't. I attacked a royal. I'm practically already dead" He says, taking away his hands from his shielded face. He looks out the window that is to his right and sighs.  "Yeah, that was kind of stupid" I respond to him. Rudy turns his head toward me and his forest-green eyes meet my ocean-blue ones. There are no sparks. No pull towards him.  "Tell me about it," he says and the door slams open with a thud. In comes Em with an expression that I know. The rogues have come out to play. "If you come back, I promise you that nothing bad will happen to you," I say standing up on my feet and walking towards the door. I meet his stare again and he nods his head towards me. Just before I'm about to walk out into the fight, Rudy says something to me.  "Don't you ever tell anyone about the Twilight book?" He says in a low voice to me and walks out of the cottage. I laugh at him before charging at a rogue that is standing in front of me.
