Ella’s POV Two heartbeats pulsed on the ultrasound screen. Two tiny forms flickering on the monitor in black and white. Two little lives taking root within me. I couldn’t believe it. And yet it was real. “Twins,” Dr. Evelyn murmured. “Both girls, from what I can tell at this stage.” Tears blurred my vision, making the monitor turn incomprehensible.
