Carrie’s Point of View
As I painstakingly started stepping down the stairs, I heard crashes of furniture coming from Lucas’ room. It scared me knowing he was angry and I was so close to him, so despite my pain, I practically ran down the stairs. Once I reached the bottom, I limped to the chair I sat on earlier, and sat down with a sigh.
I looked down to my leg to see that water was leaking through the fabric wrapped around it, and felt the ice pack near my broken bone. It felt soft and warm, and I figured the ice had melted by now. I groaned at the thought of changing my bandages, but knew it was inevitable. I stood up on my crutches and walked out of the room towards the arch I saw Bridgit and Em walk through. As I was hobbling along, I heard noises coming from the room I was headed towards.
As I stepped through the archway and into the room, I saw Em walking around the kitchen, doing dishes and wiping counters. I looked at the kitchen and breathed in at its beauty. Everything was a b
