I don't remember deciding to move. One moment I'm reading Bianca's pretty, poisonous handwriting, and the next I'm halfway down the corridor with the note crushed in my fist and my whole body pointed east like a compass needle.

I try to pull free, and when he won't let go I feel something crack open inside my chest—not anger, not quite, but something rawer that has been building pressure for weeks.
