He said he had company over and asked her just to knock when she arrived. "Someone's staying over? Who, your friend?" Amanda asked, shocked. Joshua was about to go to a meeting. He replied shortly, "Right, a friend of mine has been living with me recently. If you're hungry, my friend can cook for you. It's not like there's much going on anyway."
