Max POV   I watched as Maya took our son to bed and slammed the door behind her. She was angry, hurt and confused. I wanted to go in there and discuss it with her, but at the same time, I knew she needed some time to calm down. It hadn't been an easy time for her; Kieran had taken full advantage of her. "Max, we have to give Maya some space. I know it's hard, but we have to. At least she is back here with us and safe. That's the main thing." Leo told me, leaning over to squeeze my shoulder.
