Skylar nodded, without any intention of refusing. "Fine. Whatever." In truth, Harrison couldn't bear doing this to Skylar. His mention of wanting Skylar to resign was partly out of helplessness and mostly an attempt to provoke him. Skylar and Robert had been at odds for years. Skylar had always been wary of Robert at the company. But now, he was just handing over his power like that. Harrison said coldly, "Think it through yourself. The Frey family has built this empire for generations. If you could just show even a little fighting spirit, I wouldn't give up on you and choose Robert." Skylar braced himself against the bed and got to his feet. "Choosing Uncle Robert is pretty good. Sure, he's ambitious, but he's still capable of managing the company." He paused, then let out a low laugh. "Businessmen are supposed to be ambitious anyway. Who doesn't want power and control? I'll send my resignation to the company before the end of the night. I'm heading out." Harrison's face turned
