Chapter 20: History Repeating Itself?

Damien couldn't sleep that night and could have called Violet on the phone if he thought it would be any good but it was no use since she had expressly asked her father not to let him in. He did not really blame her but she should not allow her anger to destroy what they had. The next day, he went to the office and wanted to stop by and pick Violet up so they could go together but thought better of it. It is better I go to the company and invite her into my office when I get there. Violet had not yet reported for work when he got there and though Violet was very punctual, he did not consider it off because he had actually got to the office earlier than usual because he had wanted some time with Violet before normal work hours and had thought that she might feel the same especially once she knew he had been to her house the previous night to apologize. Normal office hours and all the staff reported to their duty posts and yet no sign of Violet. By ten o'clock and still no sign of Violet
