"You only ever think about food," Helen said, her voice tinged with reproach. "As the older brother, maybe you should show more concern for Jenson. We don't need another Zac situation."
"He won't cause any trouble," Chandler replied, releasing her from his embrace. He then walked to the dining table and began arranging the utensils.
"How can you be so sure?" Helen asked, handing him a glass of milk.
"The situations are completely different," Chandler said flatly. "Let's just eat."
"You always leave things half-said—it's so frustrating," Helen muttered. But despite her complaints, she sat down and began eating with him.
Helen knew Chandler well enough to understand that beneath his sharp tongue, he had a tender heart.
