Chapter 13

I smiled as I leaned over the fence, Wesley warming up with both Andrew and James. I guess the golden trio were the football stars, with Andrew as the running back, James as the Line backer and Wesley as the all around quarterback. Wesley lifted his head up from the ground, taking off his helmet to find his eyes searching for something. I guess that someone was me. Once he spotted me, he said something to Andrew and James, who smiled and waved as he ran over to me. His hair was wet with sweat already, his eyes shining as he made his way over. "You came." He said it almost breathlessly, his grin stretching from ear to ear. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." He smiled wider, if that's even possible, as I spoke. The buzzer rang, music starting as the other team arrived. I wrinkled my nose at their scents drifted across the field, my eyes trained on their Alpha. "Be careful." He looked back at me confused, his helmet hanging by his side.
