#Chapter 79: Ceasing Fire

(Elijah’s POV) I woke up to find my mate in my arms. I leaned into her body to make sure it was not a dream. The scent of cinnamon and vanilla filled my nostrils. It had been three days since we took down all of the bases of the Syndicate. However there were still reports of humans trying to form groups to assault werewolves or people that they believed were werewolves. I was optimistic that we could put an end to this. I rose out of bed and took a deep breath as I got dressed. I pulled out a black suit with a blue shirt and black tie. Today was the day that we had been waiting for. I received word that the high commanding officers of the humans were looking to bring me in for questioning. Word was spreading that a faction of wolves had lead an attack on a militia that was eradicating humans. Since Ava and I were known to the public as werewolves naturally they would suspect us first.
