Hearing Cynthia's words, Selena felt a moment of suffocating shock. She couldn't understand how she could have been so cold-hearted back then, able to ignore the well-being of two young children… But even so, none of what Cynthia described sounded like the "abuse" Samuel had mentioned. Could there be something else that Cynthia didn't know? She asked Cynthia more questions, hoping to uncover something more serious, but Cynthia couldn't think of anything beyond what she had already shared. "Mrs. Cole, Samuel's always been thoughtful. He remembers everything clearly. If he tells you something, please don't take it too hard." Selena nodded and left, but the doubt in her heart only grew. After thinking it over, she decided to go find Sebastian. "Selena, are you serious? If you had really abused me, do you think I wouldn't have fought back? That's ridiculous," Sebastian said. The young man in front of her clearly didn't take her words seriously and treated them like a normal argument.
