However, Matilda's torture was not over. Theodore didn't give a damn about whether she was apologizing. He ordered Bob to drag Matilda to the edge of the lake, before plunging her head into the water again and again.
Coughing, Matilda could feel nothing but the air in her lungs thinning. Her throat burned as spots dotted her vision. As she was about to pass out, Bob released her.
Drenched to the bone, Matilda flopped on the bank like a fish out of water. Theodore looked on, completely unmoved.
He asked casually, "Are you willing to apologize to Gemma now?"
Matilda had just narrowly escaped a brush with death. Her eyes were alight with terror as she nodded desperately.
"Yes, I'll apologize. I'll do it however you'd like me to. I'm begging you to please get your fill of torturing me and let me go after you're done! I won't do anything, nor will I ever be brave enough to appear before you ever again!"
Upon hearing Matilda's promises, Theodore nodded in satisfaction and had Bob
