Chapter 21

Meredith finally stopped thinking about Joshua after some coaxing from Luke. Actually, there was now something else plaguing Meredith's mind, and it had to do with Luke. They had both gotten drunk together and then Luke made his move on her. And since she was also drunk, she didn't reject his advances. That was how they somehow ended up sleeping together. At first, Meredith wanted to pretend as though nothing had happened between them. After all, they were both adults, so it wasn't much of a huge deal. However, Luke then had a little tantrum, telling her that she now needed to take responsibility for her "actions". Meredith felt her resolve crumbling when she saw how pitiful Luke looked and sounded. So, she nodded and agreed. She then held out her hickey-covered arm and smacked herself lightly on the cheek.
