Chapter45:If only Fanny had known

In the grocery store Ruby sat as he ordered the merchandiser at the store to fetch Opula a diamond bracelet, earring and wristwatch. When Opula got to know he was paying the whooping sum of fifty five million dollars for the set of jewelry she went crimson, nagging at Ruby being wasteful. “Anything for Miss Gorgeous,” Ruby said, and took her to the clothing section. Prior to that time Ruby had perceived Fanny had bought her gold dresses, gowns and lingerie; so it would be ground breaking if he outshone him-  Ruby demanded they fetch her gowns and Italian dresses styled and embroidered with diamond. But they weren’t going to give them to her right there. They would bring home later as a surprise for her. Opula only admired the dresses, styled in them and removed it unaware that Ruby had paid for them.
