Chapter 1734 Nervous

Coral closed the door with a gloomy look. How dare that wretched Tamara kick Quentin out of Londsville? How was she supposed to maintain her standing in the Simmons family now? Quentin was her husband. Even though she didn't have much love for him, as long as he was at home, she would be the lady of the house. Tamara had shattered her beautiful dreams! She silently cursed at Tamara and vowed to get rid of her. Just then, Jocelyn saw Coral's gloomy face and felt a bit scared. Nevertheless, she approached and asked, "Mom, what's wrong?" Coral looked at her and pushed her away. "You useless shit! Get out of here!" Jocelyn fell to the ground. She sobbed loudly. "What are you crying for? Your father isn't here. There's no one to protect us in this house. Who are you trying to win over with those tears?" Annoyed by her crying, Coral pinched her hard. Jocelyn sobbed even harder, feeling wronged. She didn't even understand why Coral was acting like this. Feeling annoyed by her crying, Coral ignored her and lay on the bed. Jocelyn stood up and sobbed, not knowing what was happening. … The night was hazy, and the streetlights cast a dim glow. A black car was parked between two streetlights. The car windows were tinted to prevent outsiders from seeing inside. However, one could clearly see everything outside from within. Tamara came out of her house. When she saw the car, she paused before walking over. The car window rolled down, revealing Sebastian's handsome face. He stared at her. "Get in." Tamara pursed her lips and got into the passenger seat silently. It would be easier to treat him this way. Sebastian's gaze had been locked onto her since her arrival, as if he couldn't satiate his desire to see her. Tamara felt a bit uncomfortable under his intense gaze. "Is there something on my face?" "No," Sebastian replied. Tamara wanted to roll her eyes. Why was he staring at her like that if nothing was on her face? "Have you had dinner?" Sebastian suddenly changed the topic. Tamara was taken aback. "Yes." Sebastian replied, "Good. Because I have yet to have my dinner, will you accompany me?" Tamara widened her eyes slightly. What? Did he not hear her? Before she could respond, Sebastian suddenly leaned in closer, and his masculine scent enveloped her. Tamara's breath hitched, and she instinctively moved away. Sebastian chuckled. "Did you think I was going to do something?" With that, he reached over and fastened her seatbelt. Tamara fell silent. Sebastian settled back into his seat and started the car. Tamara felt a bit awkward and turned her gaze to the scenery outside the window. The car drove until it stopped in front of a courtyard house. Tamara was surprised and looked at the sign outside, which read "Vintage Well." What an elegant name! "Let's go," Sebastian said, getting out of the car. Tamara didn't say anything and followed him into the courtyard. Upon entering, they were greeted by a beautiful pavilion. A courtyard? It was more like a luxurious mansion of a high-ranking official! They passed through a wooden corridor and reached the entrance of a room. A middle-aged woman greeted them with a friendly smile. "Welcome, Mr. Lynch." "Hello," Sebastian greeted and turned to Tamara. "This is Pela Snow, the owner here. Her cooking is quite delicious." "Hello." Tamara extended her hand. Pela shook hands with her. "Hello. You're the first woman Mr. Lynch has brought here. I will take good care of you both."
