Chapter 1737 Liked You
Tamara furrowed her brows. "Now is not the time for this. Please release your fist. You are injured!"
Her concern grew stronger when she saw the blood.
Sebastian looked at her, his eyes reflecting the storm within. But he managed to suppress it. He suddenly smiled.
"Ms. Simmons, I'm just a stranger to you. You were angry about the kiss earlier. And now you're showing concern for me. What are you doing? Are you trying to leave me hanging?"
Tamara looked at him in surprise. She immediately struggled against his hold.
Sebastian wasn't holding onto her tightly, and she easily broke free from his grasp.
Tamara was a little angry, but her heart still hurt. She tried to control her emotions. "You are the one who's injured. I'll stop since you don't want me to treat it."
With that, she headed for the door.
Pela suddenly pushed the door open and entered, carrying a tray with three dishes.
Tamara pursed her lips and remained still.
Pela was puzzled. "Are you going to the restroom?"
Tamara nodded. "Yes."
Pela smiled and pointed in a direction. "It's the first right turn."
"Alright, thank you." Tamara nodded and left.
Sebastian lowered his gaze. His chest felt like it was tearing apart. He tightly pursed his lips.
Pela turned around and immediately gasped when she saw the blood. "Oh, no! How did you get injured, Mr. Lynch?"
Sebastian's voice was hoarse. "It's nothing."
He slowly let go of his hand. The shards of the teacup had embedded into his palm, but he seemed oblivious to the pain.
Pela quickly set down the tray and fetched a first-aid kit. "Let me clean it for you. Or you should go to the hospital. The wound could easily get infected without proper treatment."
Sebastian, however, said, "It's okay, you can go."
Pela frowned. "But ..."
"I've got this," a pleasant voice said.
Tamara walked in and took the first-aid kit from Pela.
Seeing her return, Pela nodded. "Alright, you take care of Mr. Lynch. I have other customers to attend to, so I won't disturb you."
"Okay, please go ahead." Tamara nodded.
Pela left quickly. Once the door was closed, Tamara felt the intense heat of the man's gaze on her as if he wanted to melt her.
She sighed softly and went to sit next to him. She opened the first-aid kit and took out disinfectant, tweezers, and cotton swabs.
She didn't look at him. Instead, she focused her gaze on his injured hand. "It might hurt a bit. Please bear with it."
It would definitely hurt. The shards were embedded in the flesh; removing them would be painful.
Sebastian remained silent, his eyes unblinking as he watched her.
Tamara's hands trembled. She adjusted her breathing, trying to calm herself. She soon overcame the trembling.
Thankfully, there weren't many shards in the flesh. She removed each one, disinfected the wound, and wrapped it with medical gauze.
While wrapping his hand, Tamara said, "Sebastian, it was all a dream. Why did you take it so seriously?"
Moreover, she never understood why the dream seemed to affect him this much. He even developed feelings for her because of it.
Sebastian's expression remained cold, and he didn't say a word.
Tamara tied a bow with the gauze and placed his hand on his thigh. "Putting all that aside, we are strangers. Don't you find it uncomfortable to be controlled by a dream?"
She raised her gaze to look at him. Her gaze remained steady, and her tone calm.
Sebastian suddenly chuckled, and his eyes bore into hers.
"Tamara, what makes you think I was influenced by the dreams?"
Tamara's eyes widened again in surprise.
He wasn't being influenced by the dreams? Then why was he treating her like this? Could it be …
Tamara dared not speculate, but his words were not helping.
Sebastian observed her reaction. Though his tone remained cold, his voice was still hoarse. "I already liked you before I had those dreams."
