"If you trust me, then remove those guards. Let Eva alone protect me just like before. I don't want to have so many people following me around every time I go out." It made her feel like she was being monitored. "I can't do that," he immediately refused. "Why?" she asked. "You need all those people protecting you right now," Jackson said, not ready to tell her about Walter's disappearance and Jenny's prison break yet. After all, it was all just his speculation. He did not know for sure if they're planning something yet. She would be undergoing cesarean delivery in a week's time, so he did not want to make her worry unnecessarily as it might affect her health. Serenity's heart sank. He said he trusted her, but... he actually didn't, did he? "Jack, is there really so little trust between us? What exactly do I have to do before you're willing to fully trust me?" she asked. She had raised her voice without realizing it. He stared into her eyes, as if he was trying to see through her. "Then, kiss me." "What?" She froze, a little taken aback. "Kiss me. If you kiss me, then I'll believe that you're not gonna leave me." It would give him some confidence to believe that she really did love him! He found himself loving her more and more as time passed.
