Chapter 903
Once Brad was sated, he became less hostile and more patient. His smile also made it clear that he was in a great mood.
Finally having his thirst quenched after months of abstinence, of course it felt good. He was particularly thrilled when he saw how mortified Nadine looked.
The fact that she had treated him as a stand-in now seemed insignificant.
Nadine remembered everything, albeit vaguely. She only knew that she had desperately wanted him, craving his touch.
A pang of embarrassment shot through her when Brad claimed she had clung to him. Ignoring the soreness between her legs, she steeled herself and glowered at him.
"What do you mean I clung to you and forced myself on you? I was drugged! I couldn't control my actions!"
Regaining her memories and recalling Zara's antics in the ward earlier, she realized both she and Seraphina had been mistaken.
Yet, she resented Brad even more. The bastard had clearly taken advantage of her. He should've sent her to a doctor when we realized what had happened. They were in a hospital, for God's sake!
Brad didn't bother to expose Nadine's every action. He smirked and replied, "Oh, you can't control your actions? I couldn't either on New Year's Eve back then! But you didn't sympathize with me at all. You even called the police and had me arrested!"
Though some time had passed since that incident and he had never brought it up, he still couldn't help but resent her for it whenever he thought about it.
She was so heartless back then, never taking his feelings into account. Now that the tables had turned, he wasn't going to spare her.
Memories of what happened on New Year's Eve immediately flooded Nadine's mind.
That night, Brad had been drugged by Jean and had forcibly dragged Nadine into the guest room, having his way with her all night long.
They were in the middle of a divorce at the time, and Nadine was determined to end the marriage at all costs. To expedite the process, she had resorted to unscrupulous means—sending Brad to the police station.
And yet, somehow, the tables had turned. Now that the situation had reversed, Nadine finally understood how aggrieved Brad must've felt back then.
Seeing that he had the intention of letting the matter slide, she softened her tone and implored, "Mr. Hamilton, I know you're a magnanimous man. Could you please not hold it against a mere woman like me?"
At this point, the only solution she could think of was to sweep this under the rug. The last thing she wanted was for things to escalate and for everyone to find out that she had been in Brad's bed again.
Brad scoffed. Titling up his chin in defiance, he tugged the blanket, which was completely wrapped around Nadine, back toward himself.
Eager to appease him, she hastily pushed the blanket back to him.
A smirk played on Brad's lips when he saw how servile she acted. He reveled in his triumph inwardly, glad that he finally had the upper hand.
"So what if I'm a magnanimous man? Does that mean I'm not allowed to hold grudges?"
