Chapter 915
At Hayes Estate back in Jorsproburgh, Jordan began trembling all over after he answered a phone call. Tears streamed down his face as he collapsed to the ground, his entire body shaking.
His younger brother, Ferdinand, was flabbergasted.
"Jordan, what's wrong with you? Did you have a stroke?"
"And yet you call yourself a doctor. Do I look like I'm having a stroke?"
"Then, what's going on?"
Grabbing Ferdinand's hand while sobbing uncontrollably, Jordan exclaimed, "Ferd, oh Ferd! We've finally made it! We're going to soar to great heights!"
"What the heck are you on about? We're being oppressed now. Even if Cyrus is gone, we're still under the thumb of Margot and Nicole."
"They're mere pests! We've regained Grandfather's favor, and now, it's the real deal."
Ferdinand became even more bewildered. Their grandfather, Owen, had been neglecting them for ages.
Now that they had betrayed the Sykes family and sided with Cyrus, how could the Sykeses ever pay attention to them due to their unscrupulous nature? Not killing the Hayes brothers was already considered a mercy.
"Ferd, Grandfather is coming to our place with the big figures of Summerland."
"What did you say? He's coming to Jorsproburgh? Are you talking about the Big Four? The Big Four of Jorsproburgh are long gone, though."
"The Big Four of Jorsproburgh are nothing! The ones coming this time are the Big Five of Summerland—Bernard Olsen, Eldric Shaw, Moses Draig, Douglas Anderson, and our grandfather. They're all going to gather at Hayes Estate!"
"T-This can't be real," Ferdinand quavered.
The Big Five were gods in the medical community.
"It's real. Gather all the household staff and call a meeting. We need to prepare 20 guest rooms and welcome them with the utmost hospitality. Also, get the best chef in Jorsproburgh."
Seeing that his brother was serious, Ferdinand hurried to make arrangements.
Jordan stood up and wiped his tears. Staring at the two helicopters circling above, he smiled and muttered to himself, "Cyrus, you're indeed a genius, but your arrogance has brought you doom.
"You've no idea how important it is to survive by playing weak. So, in the end, it turns out that I'm the real victor. Margot and Bella will be mine, and I'll take care of them for you."
He knew better that Zoey was way out of his league.
The two helicopters slowly landed on the helipad in the estate's courtyard, and Jordan hurried over to greet his guests.
Leading the group was Theodore, accompanied by his three sons, the three generations of the Anderson family—Barabbas, Palmer, and Joseph—and the Shaw brothers, Derek and Horace.
Horace wasn't supposed to join as the principal of Centuria University, but he didn't dare to defy Eldric's orders.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Hayes. The Draigs will join us soon," Barabbas said.
"No worries. Please come inside. The sun is quite strong out here," Jordan urged, piling on the flattery—a skill he had perfected.
But just like Ophelia, Theodore despised this son of his half-brother. To him, the Hayes were traitors who deserved death.
"Jordan, keep our arrival a secret. Anyone who leaks the information must be killed!" Theodore ordered.
"Got it, Uncle Theodore. No one can leave the estate from now on."
"Jordan, is this place close to Innerzen Medical Center?" Derek asked.
"Yes, it's very close. It's less than a 15-minute drive."
Once the group settled into their guest rooms, they didn't come out again. According to the plan, they had to stay hidden until the Big Five arrived.
Then, they would finalize their arrangements to lure the young lord out and kill him.
