Ana walked toward the dining room. Hearing the commotion coming from the living room, Lucian dashed out, his face lighting up with excitement. “Grandma!” he shouted, running straight to her.
Ana bent down, scooping him up with a warm smile. "I've missed you so much, my darling," she said, hugging him tightly.
Lucian grinned, happy and secure in her arms. The boy adored his grandma, untouched by the resentment that lingered between the adults in his life.
Tyler stood a few steps away, watching the scene with a blank expression. Turning to the maid, he said flatly, "I'm not eating."
The maid, unsure, asked, "Are you really not eating, sir?"
Without answering, Tyler took a few steps toward the door. Pausing as he remembered something, he looked back at his son. "Lucian, stay with Grandma for two days."
Lucian's face lit up even more, almost bouncing in his grandmother's arms. "Can I really go to Grandma's, Daddy?" he asked, his voice full of excitement.
