Chapter 67 What A Show
Elias.
A beat passed in the room, Draven's fear literally radiating from him. I couldn't say what I was waiting for. It's clear what my next move should have been: snap the bastard's neck before he had a chance to make a comeback. But I stand watching, lying in wait.
"Please," Draven pleads. "Please." His eyes flashing between Kara and me. "Please, I can explain."
I snarled at him, about to make the move when Kara spoke.
"Elias?" she asked, her voice soft, stepping closer to me by just a step.
I tore my gaze off Draven, glancing at her. Shock written on her face.
"Elias, is that you?" she repeated.
I made a sound deep in my throat. Of course, I couldn't speak in this form. But I also didn't expect her to recognize me like that.
Letting out a growl, I stepped back from Draven. Backing away a few steps—enough to let him breathe properly, but also enough to make sure that he knew, he knows I can pounce back at him at any given time if he does anything funny.
