"Tina, where are you? Why didn't you tell me before you left? I was really worried," Alaric's voice came through the phone, deep and full of concern.
Tina frowned, visibly annoyed. "Cut the drama, Alaric. You seriously think I wouldn't notice the people you've got tailing me? Spare me the fake worry. That's enough. I'm hanging up."
Without waiting for a response, she ended the call cleanly, her expression cold.
She knew exactly what Alaric was planning-he wanted to use her as a pawn against Prescott.
