"L-Luke… What are you doing…?"
Tristan's face turned ghostly pale instantly. He stumbled backward, his expression filled with sheer terror, and he stuttered.
"I asked if you know what this is." I took a step forward, the gun leveled.
Tristan let out a strangled cry, turned, and tried to run.
A loud bang was heard as I fired a shot at his back without the slightest hesitation. The powerful blast sent him hurtling forward more than a yard, just like in the shooting scenes in films.
Tristan lay sprawled face-down on the ground, his back soaked in a spreading stain of red. Then, the pouring rain quickly began to wash the blood away, leaving a pool of diluted blood around him.
