Alex Thompson, the most popular guy on campus, finds my alternate Instagram account. He starts bragging in the dormitory.
"You know that ice queen from the history department? She's not that hard to pursue after all. All I did was invite her to watch a few games, and she agreed to be with me.
"Aren't you guys curious about her alternate Instagram account? Check it out."
Xavier Chapman, one of Alex's roommates and the captain of the ice hockey team, rushes over rowdily. "Alex, isn't it obvious? She's definitely into you."
Illya Armstrong, Alex's other roommate and a robotics genius who has just won the dean's scholarship, snorts in disdain and continues reading his book.
Alex checks the first post.
"To get closer to him, I agreed to go out with that dumb, muscular quarterback."
He looks at the second post.
"Of all people, why does he have to be Alex's roommate?"
Finally, he reads the third post.
"I can't stand Alex anymore. I'm going to confess to his roommate in three days."
The three campus heartthrobs who live together go quiet.
At the banquet, Dad decides to betroth me to Arthur Cullingham, the finance prodigy whom he has been supporting since the start.
At that time, I have no idea that Arthur's heart already belongs to someone else.
After that, Dad's company is found to be selling counterfeit products. This leads to the stock prices crashing immensely. Not only that, but Dad is also facing criminal charges.
Arthur quickly brings Celeste Snow, his first love, back into our home. He then tells me that he wants to give Celeste a proper title.
My mother-in-law, Rachel Anderson, berates me as well.
"Your family has filed for bankruptcy, not to mention you're an infertile loser! Why shouldn't my son marry another woman?"
Arthur pushes the divorce agreement in my direction. In a flippant tone, he says, "If you sign the agreement right now, I can still keep you around as long as you treat Celeste well."
Meanwhile, I've secretly booked a train ticket that'll take me far away from here.
Just seven more days, and I'll follow Dad southbound.

During the time I don't have a single cent under my name, I've received three missions to win over the hearts of three respective targets.
The first target is a rising star in the business world.
The second target is a genius doctor.
The third target is a famous lawyer.
Based on how busy these three targets are, it's a walk in the park for me to woo all of them as long as I can manage my time properly.
But I've completely forgotten about the fact that all three targets have their own first loves.
In the morning, the first target's childhood sweetheart accuses me of stealing her bracelet. So, the first target forces me to kneel for the whole night as a form of punishment.
In the afternoon, the second target's first love demands that I donate my organs to her. Even the second target tells me that the reason he allows me to approach him is so that I can serve as his first love's organ donor.
At night, the third target's best female friend takes my nudes and spreads salacious gossip about me. But the third target tells me to be more gracious, and that his friend is just joking around.
I seriously can't endure getting tortured 24 hours a day, so I tell the system that I want to give up and go home.
The system just replies, "Giving up is so easy! All you have to do is die in this world."
Naturally, I take its advice.
But why is it that all three targets suddenly lose control of themselves once I'm gone?
