When Robert Taylor heard Louise Bennett laugh, his mood instantly lifted. “We’ll be in front of Bennett Corp in two minutes. You might want to freshen up a bit.” Louise had gotten the address from Alex Hollis earlier. After getting in the car, she pulled up the route on her phone. “Just follow this path I mapped out. It's the fastest.” Robert didn’t ask any questions and just drove as she directed. When they pulled up outside the restaurant, he glanced at her, looking like he was trying to figure something out. Noticing his surprised expression, Louise gave a smug little grin. “Let me guess—you’re wondering how I chose this place?” Seeing that he didn’t deny it, she went on, “I asked Alex specifically for this. So… what do you think? Did I do good?” Knowing Louise had gone out of her way to ask someone about his preferences made Robert’s heart feel like it was blooming from the inside. The smile on his face was completely unconcealed. In that moment, he didn’t care whose wife she was.
