CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-TWO - THE FINAL CONFRONTATION
"Luna," the messenger gasped, shaking snow from his coat. "There's been an accident in the village. Old Man Erikson fell on the ice. He's badly hurt and needs medical attention, but the storm is too fierce for anyone to reach the hospital."
Freya's face grew grave. "How bad is it?"
"Bad, Luna," the messenger replied. "They think he might have internal bleeding. Without help... he might not make it."
Anna watched as Freya's expression shifted from concern to determination. "We have to help," Freya declared.
"But the storm..." Anna began, only to be cut off by Freya's resolute gaze.
"We can't abandon our people, Anna. Not when they need us most."
Anna nodded, understanding the weight of responsibility Freya carried as Luna. "Then we'll go together. Two have a better chance than one."
