Chapter 15

Janet completely misunderstood his meaning and threw herself into his arms with a smile, saying, “Isn't that even more exciting? Emmanuel, let's... Ah! What are you doing!” Before she could finish her sentence, Emmanuel, unable to tolerate it any longer, ripped the nightgown off her body. Emmanuel ignored the screams in his ear until the nightgown was completely thrown onto the floor, at which point he stopped his actions. He never once looked at Janet directly. The servants were just there to collect their wages; they certainly didn't want to witness such a scene. They all fled as quickly as possible to the courtyard. Janet’s face turned pale at first, but when she realized no one else was around, she immediately laughed coquettishly, as if she understood everything: “Oh, I know what you mean. Why are you being so rude?” She then burrowed into Emmanuel’s arms, showing no intention of hiding her true feelings. The two of them had come together for the sake of physical intimacy; there w
