Chapter 2

  “Well that leaves me; I’m Mr. Grier, your Humanities art teacher for this semester. I’m hoping we will progress right along this quarter so that when we do the artist labs that we plan to help you understand the human figure better from an art perspective.”   The man who stood maybe 5’9 had a full head of dark curly hair and five o’ clock shadow that made her think of Weird Al due to the 70’s style jacket he wore with the patched elbows.   She could tell he didn’t get out much. He was probably too involved with creating some masterpiece outside of class to know what was going on in today’s world.   Someone brought Cady a towel from the adjoining supply closet as she was dripping wet.   “Oh, thank you.” She mouthed trying to not disrupt the class further. She dried her hair and dabbed at her chest and skirt.   “Miss Miller, I think you’d be much more comfortable drying off in the women’s bathroom at the end of the hall.”   “Oh no thanks, I’m good sir. I’ll just take a seat.” Cady said
