“Ple-ease, just let me make one call. My family doesn't know!” I shouted from my prison cell in the police station, but they constantly ignored me.
I was frustrated, lost, and angry. I feel so terribly helpless that I no longer have any idea what to do.
“I know of the laws as well. You can not just lock me here without letting me make a call.” I stated furiously. “This is my fucking right!”
One of the officers reluctantly approached me. “A doctor, who was supposed to save lives, almost killed a patient. I wonder if she deserves to have any rights.” She mocked me. “You're a shame in the name of a doctor. I don't understand how you even get the licence to practice.”
I wanted to argue, but I chose not to. The allegations upon me were severe and I wasn't even sure how that happened. Therefore, I stayed silent, and thankfully she gave me my phone to make a call.
