Darwis's POV I looked straight ahead, even though my mind was wandering somewhere. The silent and tense courtroom was now empty. The judge had banged his gavel, marking the end of my marriage to Kate. After years of being together, we finally officially divorced. It felt like a heavy weight had been lifted from my shoulders, but at the same time there was a feeling of emptiness that I couldn't explain. My steps felt heavy as I left the courthouse.
