Kate's POV  I turned quickly and walked towards the door, but my steps stopped when I heard Darwis's deep voice behind me. “Kate, wait. Don't go like this," Darwis called, his tone full of despair. I turned around slowly, looking at him with eyes still wet with tears. “What else do you want to say, Darwis? You have made your choice clear.” Darwis approached, his eyes full of regret. “I know I've made a lot of mistakes. But believe me, I never wanted to hurt you like this. I'm just confused and don't know how to fix it.” I looked at him with sharp eyes. “Your confusion has ruined my life, Darwis. I don't know if there's a way to fix any of this.” Darwis took a deep breath, looking desperate. “I know you're angry, and you have every right to be angry.
