When it was my turn, I channeled all my energy into the performance. I sang with passion and conviction, letting the music guide me. The crowd began to cheer.
So the song came to an end, and I held my breath. The woman had been incredible, but I knew I'd given it my all. We exchanged a tense glance as we awaited the audience's verdict.
To my surprise, the bar erupted in applause, chanting my name. The woman's jaw clenched, looking unbelievable as she realized she'd been defeated.
She stepped forward with a glare. "Don't be so full of yourself, okay?"
"You better watch your mouth, alright? I beat your fucking ass," I retorted. "Next time. You don't come and start acting stupid."
The applause continued, the woman’s face reddened with embarrassment and anger. She looked like she was struggling to find words but eventually managed to say, "You may have won this round, but don’t get too comfortable."
