Chapter 190: Arthur Accepts All Comers

I carried the file into Arthur's office. The sight that greeted me made my stomach knot. The beautiful manager, Cindy, was leaning over his desk, her perfectly manicured hand resting on his shoulder. They looked close. Too close. For a second, my pulse stuttered. So much for the man who brushed her off in the conference room last time. Guess today he couldn't resist. "Mr. Sandlin, this is the advertising proposal for Beaute," I said, setting the folder down in front of him. My voice was cool, distant. Arthur didn't look fazed. "Cindy, take a look. Let me know if you have any special requirements." He slid the file toward her with calm precision, subtly removing her hand from his shoulder at the same time. His expression didn't flicker. "I trust your company," Cindy purred. "No need to look at the proposal. I know Mega delivers." She didn't even glance at the file. Instead, she leaned closer, her glossy red lips curving into a smile that was just this side of indecent. My jaw tightened.
