Roseline’s POV
I thought that I would feel sad by their hurtful words, but on the contrary I was calm. Calmer than I had ever been lately.
Perhaps, I had accepted that in their eyes, I will never be anything more than a useless orphan, a dumped girlfriend and a nobody. I did not see any meaning in caring for people who saw me as trash.
As from today, all of them could go to hell. I could care less about the craps in their lives.
I felt my throat dry. So, I picked up a glass of water from the bedside stand in order to quench my thirst.
I really tried, but my hands couldn’t lift the weight of the cup properly. I helplessly observed as the cup slipped from my hands and was about to drop down on the floor when strong hands held it firmly.
I grasped, glanced up with gratitude only to see that it was him –Adrian.
