"Come in," George said, ushering Maddie into his home. She hesitated at the door, unsure if his family would welcome her. As Maddie stepped inside, she gasped. The foyer was grand, with marble floors gleaming under a crystal chandelier that cast a warm glow. Rich, dark wood paneling lined the walls, and an ornate staircase spiraled to the second floor. She had known George came from wealth, but this was beyond her expectations. "Wow, George," she said, her eyes wide as she took in the luxury. "You never told me your home was this beautiful." Her voice echoed slightly in the vast space. "You're so humble, never mentioning how luxurious it is." George shifted uncomfortably, scratching his head. "Well, it's not really mine," he admitted, glancing around. "This is the family house. It was built by my great-granddad. A bit of a dynasty, you could say, but it's often renovated." Maddie nodded, still in awe. "It's incredible," she murmured. "Thanks," George said, a bit more at ease now.
