Meanwhile, Rosalie's plane had just landed in Ostrulia. The first thing she did after getting off the plane was pull out her phone to text Lucas. Then, she remembered that she and Lucas were already divorced. They wouldn't have anything to do with each other anymore. She checked her WhatsApp to see that it was registered under a new number she'd gotten. A wave of surreality crashed over her. Suddenly, it hit her that she really was divorced. She'd left Lucas and the web of lies he'd weaved for her. When Rosalie looked up, she decided that she would start afresh in this unfamiliar place.
