Glen hesitated, caught in a moment of uncertainty. When Elijah saw this, his frown deepened. Glen felt a chill run through him, and his face turned pale. Glen hurriedly explained, "When Ms. Lane came back last night, she was soaked through. She caught a cold this morning, and someone already took her to the hospital." "You didn't happen to send Sebastian to pick Ms. Lane up, did you?" Glen quickly explained what had happened with the driver, Sebastian Byrd. As Elijah listened, his brows furrowed. It was his fault. He had only sent Sebastian to pick her up in the pouring rain and hadn't checked afterward whether she had actually arrived. Thinking about how heavy
