Chapter 810 Give It a Try
The antidote could soon be made since they have found the necessary ingredients. Tamara would finally be free of James’ threats and demands!
Although Tamara’s heart was pounding with excitement, her face did not betray her emotions.
Her phone buzzed again.
After she read the message, Tamara paled.
The text read, “Mr. Lynch has been trapped by the Lane family. Both the Zimmerman family and the Lane family had joined hands. Miss Zimmerman and Mr. Inkling are caught too!”
No wonder there was no news from them for the past week.
They were trapped!
The Zimmerman family and the Lane family had joined hands!
But why?
Weren’t they always at odds with each other?
Anxiety coursed through Tamara. She closed her eyes and forced herself to calm down.
She shakily replied, “How’s the situation over there?”
Her men replied, “The Lane family is too afraid to lay a hand on Mr. Lynch. But they also refused to let him go. Mr. Lynch’s men were all killed off.”
Tamara sucked in a deep breath. “Send more men over here. We must save Sebastian, Margot, and Benjamin!”
Her men replied, “The Zimmerman family and the Lane family are keeping watch over the docks together. It took a lot of effort just to bring the herb back. The rest of our men are still stuck on the island!”
Tamara’s breathing quickened. She closed her eyes and thought it over. “Lay low for now.”
Her men complied.
…
Tamara kept her phone. The news of Sebastian’s entrapment dimmed her previous excitement from having found the herb.
What should she do now?
They were all trapped in Nammu Bay.
It would take two days to send the herb and another few days to make the antidote.
All in all, the entire process would take at least a week.
If Tamara held it together for another week, she could soon leave for Nammu Bay to save them!
Tamara tried her best to compose herself. She suddenly felt James’ eyes on her. She slowly turned toward him.
James smiled gently at her. “Tamara, the wedding dress I ordered for you has arrived. Let’s see if it fits.”
Tamara pursed her lips. She nodded absentmindedly. “Sure.”
A week. Tamara just needed to make sure they wouldn’t get married within a week.
At the wedding dress shop.
The wedding dress had already been brought out and was ready for James and Tamara when they arrived.
The clerk immediately greeted Tamara. “This way, please, Miss Moore.”
Tamara nodded and followed the clerk to the dressing room.
On the other hand, James sat on the couch and waited patiently.
Just then, Vanessa came in. She crept toward James and whispered, “Mr. Gladwell, we have caught Sebastian. But Margot and Benjamin are nowhere to be found.”
James narrowed his eyes slightly. “Tell Adrian to find them. We can never be at ease until Margot and Benjamin are caught.”
“Yes,” nodded Vanessa.
The clerk suddenly rushed over anxiously. “Can I ask for your assistance, miss?”
Vanessa was taken aback.
James nudged her forward. “Go and help them out.”
Impatience flashed across Vanessa’s eyes, but she still nodded and followed after the clerk.
Vanessa saw that Tamara was just holding the wedding dress. Tamara made no move to put it on. She walked up to Vanessa when she saw her. “I’m on my period. I don’t want to dirty the dress. You’re about the same size as me. Can you try it on my behalf?”
Vanessa’s eyes flew open. “I don’t think that’s possible. Mr. Gladwell had this specially made for you.”
Tamara smiled. “It’s fine. Help me out here. If it fits you, it’s going to fit me too.”
Vanessa felt awkward, but Tamara had already handed the wedding dress to her. “I’ll help you put it on.”
