Chapter 833 See It Through

James stared at the unfamiliar face. Although Tamara had deliberately disguised herself, James could recognize her from a mile away. Despite their icy demeanor, her eyes smoldered with intense hatred. James smiled, saying, “Maybe you should wash off all that makeup before talking to me, Tamara.” Tamara quirked an eyebrow. “Are you out of your mind?” That was his concern? There was a gun aimed at him, for goodness sake! James shrugged, “I might accidentally kill you if I stare at that face of yours for too long.” Tamara snorted, “Don’t be ridiculous. I’m the one who has the upper hand.” Tamara waved her gun before aiming it at James again. She cocked the trigger. James narrowed his eyes. “If you kill me, you won’t be able to get the antidote.” Tamara laughed mockingly, “Sorry to burst your bubble, but I’ve already found the antidote.” The text she received back at the dressing room was from George. He had informed her of their success in coming up with the antidote. Her family had taken them too! Tamara was still hesitant before. Upon receiving the news, all her worries disappeared without a trace. She needed to kill James to avenge her family! Tamara pulled the trigger, but James was prepared. He jumped away from the shot. His eyes never left Tamara’s gun. He could see where the shot was aiming if he kept his focus on it. This infuriated both Tamara and Helena. “Let me ask you again, James. Do you regret this?” Tamara stared at James coldly. James smiled pathetically. The colors had drained from his face due to the blood loss, but a new madness had seeped into his gaze. “What is there to regret?” “Don’t waste your breath on him, Tammy. Just kill him.” Helena pulled the trigger again. But she was out of bullets! Tamara stared at James’ pitiful smile. Her eyes watered. “Meeting you is my only regret in life, James.” With that, Tamara closed her eyes and pulled the trigger. Another groan. Tamara opened her eyes again. James’ left arm was shot, and he fell to the ground in pain. His white suit was drenched in blood. Slowly and surely, he was bleeding out. Still, he kept his eyes on Tamara. “I don’t regret a single thing, Tamara.” He had struggled before. But all his struggles disappeared once he stepped through the wedding hall. As long as Tamara became his, he would have no regrets. However, the wedding ended in failure. He had yearned for her for the longest time, but he couldn’t even finish the wedding with her. That was to be expected. This must be his karma. James recalled the time when he decided to go through with the poisoning. His heart swelled with bitterness, but it was too late for that. “No matter what, we must finish the wedding, Tamara.” James struggled to get up. All his bitterness faded away. Instead, a dark determination swept across his face. An army of bodyguards emerged from the shadows and surrounded the two women the moment he spoke. Two bodyguards apprehended Helena. She struggled against them but was knocked unconscious instead. Tamara’s eyes widened at the men. “You…” James stumbled toward Tamara. “This is our wedding, Tamara. We have to see it through.” He approached Tamara, ignoring her gun, and grabbed her arms. Tamara’s face fell. Even though she was wearing a lot of makeup, it couldn’t hide her fierce appearance. She fired another shot. Despite being within range of her gun, the bullet she fired failed to hit him, even though she had aimed it in his direction. There wasn’t even a drop of blood! James was wearing a bulletproof vest! Tamara jumped in surprise. She quickly came back to her senses, but it was too late!
