Chapter 180

Feeling puzzled, Leroy couldn't help but feel a sense of helplessness. Thinking of this, he suddenly felt dizzy. He rubbed his temples to feel better. Meanwhile, Scarlett was also still awake. She was feeling restless and kept looking at her phone. She felt that something was missing. Suddenly, the dark phone screen lit up. Scarlett's eyes widened as she read the message. Without giving it much thought, she quickly threw on a coat and hurriedly left the villa. In the hospital room, the bell suddenly rang. Leroy got in immediately. Yvonne looked at him awkwardly. "Leroy, could you help me up? I need to use the restroom," Yvonne asked. Her face was flushed with embarrassment and awkwardness as she spoke. Leroy chuckled softly. "It's no big deal. You're a patient. It's perfectly normal to need help. Let me help you." He stepped forward to help her up, but Yvonne's face reddened even more. She didn't say anything else. The hallway was quiet, and Yvonne's cheeks were burning red as Leroy helped her back from the restroom. "Leroy, have you been here all night?" she asked softly. She was surprised to see him come in so quickly earlier. "Day one of recovery is always more important. I don't want anything to go wrong so I stayed." Leroy's tone was cold, but it was enough to make Yvonne feel happy. Just as she was about to ask him more, there was the sound of high heels echoing in the quiet hallway. Both Leroy and Yvonne looked up at the same time. At the end of the corridor, Scarlett looked at them coldly. Her eyes fixed on Leroy's hand that was holding Yvonne's hand. Seeing how close both of them are, Scarlett felt a sharp sting. "So it's Ms. Middleton who's in trouble. No wonder Leroy didn't want to tell me anything, "Scarlett said sarcastically as she stepped forward. Upon hearing this, Leroy frowned. "I'll take you back to your room first. Get some rest and don't overthink tonight," he said to Yvonne. After sending Yvonne back to her room, Leroy gently closed the door and turned to face Scarlett. "Ms. Payne, you missed your sleep just to come here to say all this?" Leroy asked with a hint of amusement in his tone. Scarlett stepped forward quickly. She was clearly unhappy. "Leroy, stop pretending that you're better than me. "I checked with the hospital before I came. They told me you volunteered to stay and take care of Yvonne." Scarlett then added with a dark gaze, "Don't forget what you promised me." Leroy nodded slightly. "I don't need your reminder. I haven't forgotten. But let me remind you, Ms. Payne, that I'm not your servant." He met her gaze directly. Their eyes locked, and the tension between them became palpable. Scarlett frowned. "Leroy, I hope you'll keep your word and won't disappoint me. "Tomorrow, I want breakfast made by you. Grandma's been asking for it. I'm sure you can manage, right?" Scarlett glanced briefly at the hospital room but said nothing more before turning and leaving. As Scarlett left, Leroy let out a long sigh of relief. Outside the hospital, the cool night breeze helped calm Scarlett down. Every time she saw Leroy, her emotions seemed out of control. She then looked at the message on her phone. Although it was late, she immediately dialed back. The man on the other end seemed to have been expecting her call. "Ms. Payne, you've been to the hospital and seen it for yourself, right? Dr. Olson seems to care a great deal about Yvonne." Cedric's voice came through the phone. Scarlett smirked.
