Chapter 189
However, when the three experts saw William's condition, they all fell into silence.
Matthew also noticed the strange expressions on their faces. He then led the three out of the room.
Leroy asked curiously, "Gentlemen, is there something wrong with my grandfather?"
The three experts exchanged glances before shaking their heads.
"Mr. Myer, we truly wish we could help, but this matter isn't so simple. If that young man were here, perhaps we could hold a meeting to discuss it."
One of the experts spoke up, which piqued Matthew's interest.
Matthew asked, "Dr. Chambers, who are you referring to? Could this person help with my grandfather's condition?"
Wilson who stood before him nodded. "Mr. Myer, you might not know this, but there's a talented individual at Ashbourne Medical. There was a special case before.
"At that time, none of us could figure out how to treat Ms. Payne's leg, but that young man managed to save her."
As Wilson mentioned Scarlett, Matthew felt a hint of confusion. Could it be Leroy?
However, Wilson's next words confirmed what Leroy had already suspected. That young man was indeed Leroy.
"That is actually true?" Matthew was surprised by his discovery.
Meanwhile, Wilson continued to praise Leroy's skills, calling him a rare medical genius.
The more Wilson praised Leroy, the more uneasy Matthew felt.
Recalling how the Myer family had treated Leroy last night, he wondered if Leroy would even be willing to come. For a moment, his mind was filled with all sorts of speculations.
Wilson noticed that Matthew seemed preoccupied.
"Mr. Myer, is there something troubling you? Leroy is currently at Ashbourne Medical. If needed, I can help arrange a meeting for you."
As soon as Wilson finished speaking, a flicker of panic appeared in Matthew's eyes.
However, he quickly masked his emotions. "Thank you, Dr. Chambers. I already have Dr. Olson's contact information, so there's no need to trouble you, Dr. Chambers."
Matthew didn't want to meet Leroy under such awkward circumstances. He needed to approach Scarlett first.
Wilson didn't press any further, taking Mr. Myer's words as the final say on the matter.
After saying goodbye to the three professors, Matthew's expression reflected deep contemplation. He needed to reach out to Leroy immediately.
Leroy was still sound asleep in the hospital when a voice stirred him awake. As he rubbed his eyes, curiosity filled his gaze.
"How are you still asleep? What did you say earlier? Have you already forgotten?" Scarlett burst into the room and immediately laid eyes on Leroy.
Upon seeing Scarlett, a peculiar expression flickered across Leroy's face. "What do you mean, Ms. Payne?"
He struggled to keep his emotions in check, but there was still a hint of tiredness evident on his face.
Upon seeing Scarlett, he had a good idea of why she was there. Leroy let out a sigh of defeat.
"Last night's meeting went on until the early hours of the morning. Is there something Grandma needs?" Leroy asked, curious as he stood up and prepared to head to the villa.
But Scarlett's presence ignited an inexplicable anger within her. "Grandma doesn't need you right now. By the time you arrive, it will be too late," she snapped. Hearing this, Leroy couldn't help but feel guilty.
"Leroy, I still remember what you said before. If you can't handle it, I won't force you," Scarlett said coldly, her eyes flashing with disdain.
Leroy knew exactly what she was implying with her haughty attitude.
