Chapter 188

After pulling an all-nighter, Leroy wearily gazed at the plan that was finally being discussed. He couldn't help but let out a sigh of defeat. "Regardless, let's start preparing based on the initial plan. I'll take care of negotiating with the Myer family," Wesley said, looking like he had aged a decade from staying up all night. He gave Leroy a reassuring pat on the shoulder. Leroy was flattered when Wesley apologized for bothering him with the matter. "Don't say that, Mr. Moore. I'm always happy to lend a hand to the hospital," Leroy replied with a faint smile. Wesley's face visibly relaxed at this response. "If only more young people had your sense of responsibility, my job would be much easier." After expressing his gratitude, Wesley turned and exited the room. To Leroy's surprise, Yvonne was also awake. He felt a bit awkward at first. "Didn't you want to sleep a little while longer? It's still early," Leroy said with a smile. But Yvonne just laughed in response. "I've already slept for eight hours, thank you very much. Did Ms. Payne finally let you out, Leroy?" Yvonne teased playfully, but there was a hint of disappointment in her voice. Leroy was caught off guard by this and replied, "No, I came out on my own. The hospital is facing some issues and I need to go help." Yvonne's eyes widened in surprise. "What happened at the hospital?" Leroy wasn't sure how to explain, so he simply nodded. "Just a minor problem." After hearing this, Yvonne nodded understandingly. The conversation between them became slightly awkward and Leroy couldn't help but let out a yawn. Yvonne chuckled when she saw Leroy sitting there, looking exhausted. "You look like you haven't slept at all. Go rest now," she said kindly. Leroy eagerly nodded in agreement, relieved to have someone notice his fatigue."If you need anything, just let me know. I'll be in the next-door consulting room." With that, Leroy got up and went to rest. Yvonne let out a soft sigh, a slight blush coming to her cheeks as she watched him go. Olivia was preparing to leave for grocery shopping early in the morning when she saw a fancy car parked outside Leroy's house. As she approached the car to get a better look, it suddenly drove away. This piqued Olivia's curiosity. She could have sworn she recognized the person in the driver's seat. Scarlett gripped the steering wheel tightly as she drove off. Scarlett had been waiting outside Leroy's house since the early hours of the morning, but he hadn't shown up yet. When Olivia finally appeared, Scarlett's heart filled with an urge to avoid her. Without much thought, she drove away without looking back. As she pulled over to the side of the road, Scarlett took a few deep breaths to calm down. If Leroy wasn't at home, he was most likely at the hospital. After tapping her fingers on the steering wheel for a few moments, Scarlett made the decision to drive to the company. She knew that Leroy needed space and she would give it to him, as long as he didn't forget his responsibilities. The Myer family had put last night's events behind them and were moving forward. Matthew had even invited some experts from Ashbourne to come and examine his grandfather today. "Gentlemen, I have heard great things about your skills, even when I was abroad. Please take a look at my grandpa," Matthew said respectfully. The experts nodded in acknowledgment. "Mr. Myer, don't worry, we will do everything in our power," they assured him. The three doctors exchanged glances, curious about William's current condition. After some casual conversation, they began their diagnosis.
