Lorraine set aside her surprise, calmly introduced herself as requested, and began answering the interviewers' questions. She tried her best to ignore the man beside her, focusing on explaining her professional skills and her understanding of the project. Throughout the process, though, she could feel his gaze drifting to her from time to time. As the interview neared its end, the head of the organization, Jamie Lloyd, suddenly asked a pointed question. "If you encounter locals trying to drive you away in an aid area, what would be your first reaction?"
