Chase's company had turned into something no one wanted to touch. Suppliers were knocking at their doors to collect debts while banks demanded the loans be repaid. The employees were in a state of panic. With stock prices plummeting to rock bottom, the company teetered on the brink of bankruptcy and liquidation. It was at that moment that StarPath Technology announced that it would acquire all of the company's remaining viable assets at only one-tenth of the market value.
